While we're not able to come together at Lake Esau for onsite summer camp, we want to bring a little slice of camp to you!
Camp at Home is a multi-week virtual camp program that brings some of the great things about camp (nature, games, crafts, worship) to your home. All participants will receive a box of very important camp gear and activities to explore. Additionally, each week via Zoom join your favorite camp staff and volunteers for projects, songs, and activities geared around our summer theme, "Compassion Camp".
Our 5-week program will include:
This program is flexible, meaning, if you're totally screened out (we are too!) the online activities are totally optional and will be recorded, if you need to watch later.
CAMP IN A BOX
What can you expect in your activities box? A mixture of activities, reminders of Camp Chick, and some camp gear!
The contents are still being compiled, but you can expect some crafting materials, simple games, and a summer 2020 t-shirt!
WEEKLY ZOOM SESSIONS
Our long-time staff and volunteers will host weekly Zoom sessions for at-home campers to play some games, perhaps do some activities, and to discuss our summer theme, "Compassion Camp".
Our sessions will take place on Tuesday mornings at 11am and Thursday evenings at 6pm. Both meetings offer the same content and participants are invited to pick one, attend both, or skip both! The Zoom calls are flexible and optional, meaning - if you're totally Zoom-ed out and on screen-overload, we get it.
Our weekly sessions follow all of our diocesan online safety guidelines, including the use of passwords and other security features.
The cost to participate in Camp at Home is "pay what you can" with a suggested contribution of $25 per child. Signing up to participate will include the mailed activity box, access to weekly sessions, and other password-protected curriculum materials.
