I hope this Thanksgiving season finds you and all your loved ones happy and healthy.
The Holiday season is upon us. Before we jump into Christmas preparations, we spend time giving thanks, thinking about all of the things in our lives that help us be the best versions of ourselves. At Camp Chickagami, we are grateful for all of the people that support our ministry – our campers, staff, volunteers, alumni, community members, and other friends.
Again this year, we are asking our friends to support Camp Chickagami through a gift on Giving Tuesday, November 27.
Giving Tuesday is a day set aside each Tuesday after Thanksgiving to recognize and give back to all of the organizations that have made an impact on your life. Since its inception, Giving Tuesday has grown to become a global event, inspiring millions to give back to their communities and the organizations that inspire them.
At Chickagami, no child will be turned away due to financial hardship. 62% of our campers this year received some sort of scholarship assistance whether they were supported by Camp Chick directly, their home congregation, or other granting organizations.
Please join with our supporters, alumni, and other friends in making a gift to Camp Chickagami this Giving Tuesday. All gifts can make an impact and help us send kids to camp – whether it’s $5, $5 per month, or $500, every donation will assist us in our ministry.
Our goal for Giving Tuesday is $10,000, which would help us provide almost thirty full scholarships.
And – we have some good news – since we kicked off our campaign at our diocesan convention, we’ve already raised $7,910!
